The Chinese School
With regards to the past, the city had Chinese relatives entering it to be majority residents. They joined in the creation of prosperity to the locality and business beneficial establishment of the country. A provincial Chinese school was originated here and it is the first Chinese school in provincial parts.

Even though it had overcome several changes, from a no-name educational institute (before 1911), becoming Huabun School (1917) and changed to Ratjunghua School (1946) until being Phuket Thaihua School (1948) and inherited to Phuket Thaihua (Prasartwitthaya) School.
